Diane Cancro is a May 2023 graduate of Irene’s Myomasology Institute in Southfield, Michigan. She is a Licensed Massage Therapist with the State of Michigan, and has passed the Emblex exam.
Myomasology is the combining of many disciplines through the vehicle of Basic Swedish Massage; such as: lymph drainage, muscle mechanics, reiki, and energy work to bring the body into balance, promote repair, and release fascial adhesions.
Every massage begins with a short consultation to assess the goals and needs of the client. As the massage progresses, and Diane discovers more about the status of the client’s body, the goals and direction of the massage may be adapted to address new priorities, with the client’s consent.
No two massages are the same. Every massage is guided by listening to the tissue. Work is based upon the theory that the body wants to function optimally and repair itself. The job of the therapist is to create a safe space for optimal repair and restoration. Work is done with an awareness of the mind, body, and spiritual connection; and a utilization of the partnership between the tissue and the central nervous system.
Priority is given to helping the client understand their own body, and learn ways to maintain and continue the improvement between sessions.
Start-up pricing is in effect, as this is a new business. Clients are welcome to reflect their gratitude for progress made in their tip.
